NotSoBig Oil is a small company that grew from a small biodiesel producing co-op. I was offered the opportunity to take over ownership after the other co-op members found they no longer had the time to invest. I accepted and since changed the company from a co-op to a self owned business (LLC, Limited Liability Company) and upgraded the original system to produce more biodiesel.
NotSoBig Oil co-op was launched successfully in October of 1999, achieving its objective of 4 members who participated for use of fuel made. While in the co-op I processed the waste vegetable oil and produced the biodiesel. Since I have taken over ownership the production system has grown from producing 40 gallon batches to producing 250 gallon batches and I have become a sales representative of biodiesel processing supplies (chemicals - methanol, potassium hydroxide, etc.) used in the production of biodiesel.

Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel produced from domestic renewable resources such as waste vegetable oil (WVO), animal fats and recycled restaurant grease. Biodiesel contains no petroleum and is a biodegradable and cleaner-burning alternative to petroleum diesel. Biodiesel is a renewable, carbon neutral fuel that returns 3 to 4 times the energy needed to produce it back into the environment.
